Uncle Ed was always my favorite uncle. I loved visiting him in the Bronx, just hanging out, listening to or watching Yankee games, playing cards, learning his bar tricks like how many drops you could get out of an empty bottle, and what-not! I will miss him much.Written by Bart Creedon
1/27/2013 2:06:27 PMTo the Family: My sincere condolences. It must be especially painful coming so soon after the loss his beloved wife,Ida. I hope you can take comfort knowing that his soul soars in heaven rejoined with her in eternity. As for me,I mourn the loss of a good man, someone who took me into his home from the first and welcomed me as a son. He was a father to me...made me feel loved and was proud of me. I loved him as well. I can now clearly see that his effect on me was profound and lasting. He was a man's man, a proud member of the greatest generation welcomed home by his country with open arms, married his sweetheart Ida, raised a family, worked hard, played harder and was good and generous friend to many. Although he doesn't leave much of a legacy, he touched the lives of countless many. His giant footsteps on this earth are indelible. I would give anything to go on one more fishing trip with Mr. P!!! As long as I live, you will stay alive in me.Written by Carlos Pietri
